By Elliott Harris

For people that are looking to build a dynamically generated web page, one of the tools that are available is called PHP Web Development. It stands for Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP is actually an HTML embedded scripting language that is compatible with many different types of data bases.

Ever since its official launch in'98 after being re-developed and tweaked for a number of years, it has undergone many different changes. PHP is a scripting language that uses embedded HTML. One of the reasons that it is so widely used could be due to the fact that is very compatible with a number of servers, unlike other computer programming languages.

The actual syntax of PHP is very much like Perl, but the language is embedded with special PHP tags which make it possible for the developer to go back and forth between using HTML codes and PHP. This can greatly decrease the amount of HTML codes that need written.

From its rudimentary beginnings it has evolved into a tool that is can be used for a number of different purposes. Examples of where it is commonly used include standalone graphics and command line interface applications. PHP Web Development is able to be used on almost all servers and operating systems. The software is free and currently has 5 versions, each of which has built upon the one before it.

The last version of PHP concentrates on the security of the web pages. They will address the issues of the last version. Version 6. 0 will also have the added convenience of supporting Unicode.

One of the favored languages that help with applications or for web page design is the popular PHP web development. This software not only creates dynamic applications, with each version there is something added to enhance the performance. - 32523
